- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour four mini loaf pans or line them with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the banana mixture, stirring until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the baking soda, salt, and flour. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in 1/4 cup of the caramel sauce until evenly distributed.
- Divide the batter evenly among the prepared mini loaf pans, filling each about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- While the loaves are baking, prepare the glaze by combining the sweetened condensed milk and remaining caramel sauce in a small bowl. Mix until smooth.
- Once the loaves are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Drizzle the condensed milk glaze over the warm loaves.
- Allow the loaves to cool completely before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon to the dry ingredients.
- You can substitute half of the all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour for a healthier option.
