Description
Delicious Moroccan-inspired meatballs simmered in a spiced tomato sauce.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg
- 3 cups tomato sauce
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, parsley, cinnamon, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and egg.
- Form the mixture into meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides.
- Remove meatballs and set aside. In the same skillet, sauté onion and garlic until soft.
- Add the tomato sauce and bring to a simmer.
- Return meatballs to the skillet and cook for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Serve with couscous or bread.
- Can substitute ground turkey for a lighter option.
