Description

This Moroccan Spiced Leg of Lamb is a flavorful and tender dish marinated with an aromatic blend of spices.


Ingredients

  • 1 leg of lamb
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon ground coriander
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 lemon (juice and zest)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix garlic, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
  3. Incorporate olive oil and lemon juice to form a paste.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over the leg of lamb.
  5. Place the lamb in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
  6. Roast for 1.5 to 2 hours, removing foil for the last 30 minutes to brown the meat.
  7. Let rest for 15 minutes before slicing.

  • For best flavors, marinate the lamb overnight.
