Description

A creamy and delicious Mushroom and Seitan Stroganoff recipe that is perfect for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 200 g seitan, sliced into strips
  • 250 g fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • 200 ml plant-based cream (soy, oat, or unsweetened coconut)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  2. Add mushrooms and cook until browned and tender.
  3. Stir in seitan and cook for 3 minutes.
  4. Add mustard, soy sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Pour in plant-based cream and simmer for 5–7 minutes until thickened.
  6. Serve hot with pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes. Garnish with parsley if desired.
