Description

Deliciously rich brownies made with olive oil and topped with sea salt for a perfect sweet and salty treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt for topping


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
  9. Sprinkle sea salt on top.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  11. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
