Description

Delicious pan-seared scallops perfectly crisped and served with a rich, nutty browned butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sea scallops
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat the scallops dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the scallops and sear until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the butter, swirling until it turns golden and smells nutty.
  5. Return the scallops to the skillet to coat in the browned butter.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • Ensure the scallops are dry for the best sear.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary.
