- 1 pound sea scallops
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the scallops dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the scallops and sear until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the butter, swirling until it turns golden and smells nutty.
- Return the scallops to the skillet to coat in the browned butter.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
