Description

A delicious flatbread topped with ripe pears, creamy goat cheese, and crunchy walnuts, finished with a drizzle of honey.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large piece of flatbread or naan (approximately 10-12 inches)
  • 1 ripe pear, sliced thinly
  • 4 ounces crumbled goat cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves (or 1 teaspoon dried)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Fresh arugula or mixed greens for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. On a baking sheet, lay out the flatbread and lightly coat one side with olive oil.
  3. Arrange the pear slices artfully over the oiled surface, ensuring even coverage.
  4. Scatter the crumbled goat cheese and chopped walnuts generously on top of the pears.
  5. Sprinkle fresh thyme leaves over the entire flatbread, then season with salt and pepper according to your preference.
  6. Place the flatbread in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the cheese is warm and slightly gooey.
  7. Once out of the oven, immediately drizzle honey over the flatbread while it’s still warm.
  8. For an extra touch of freshness, add a handful of arugula or mixed greens before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the amount of honey based on your sweetness preference.
  • This flatbread can be served as an appetizer or a light meal.
