Description

A light and airy pomegranate mousse encased in a delicate dome, perfect for any special occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pomegranate juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine pomegranate juice and sugar over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  2. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes, then heat gently until dissolved.
  3. Stir the gelatin mixture into the pomegranate juice until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form, then set aside.
  5. In another bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  6. Fold the pomegranate mixture into the whipped cream, then gently fold in the egg whites.
  7. Pour the mousse into a dome-shaped mold and refrigerate until set, about 4 hours.
  8. Once set, unmold the mousse and serve chilled.

Notes

  • Make sure to use fresh pomegranate juice for the best flavor.
  • This dessert can be made a day in advance.
