A delicious and easy recipe for Pretzel Chicken with a creamy Mustard-Cheddar Sauce.

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp honey
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Place crushed pretzels in a shallow dish. In two other dishes, place flour in one and beaten eggs in the other. Season chicken with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Dredge chicken in flour, dip in eggs, then coat with crushed pretzels.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken 4–5 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- For the sauce, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth and thickened.
- Remove from heat, stir in cheddar cheese, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, and pepper until creamy.
- Serve crispy pretzel chicken drizzled with the warm mustard-cheddar sauce.
