Description

Delicious roasted chicken legs cooked in their own fat for maximum flavor and tenderness.


Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in chicken legs
  • 1 cup chicken fat (schmaltz)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the chicken legs with chicken fat, salt, pepper, garlic, and rosemary.
  3. Place the chicken legs skin-side up on a roasting pan.
  4. Roast in the oven for about 45-50 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and the chicken is cooked through.
  5. Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
