Description
A crunchy and sweet treat made with saltine crackers, butter, and chocolate.
Ingredients

- 40 saltine crackers
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange saltine crackers in a single layer.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat until it starts to boil. Boil for 3 minutes without stirring.
- Pour the mixture over the saltine crackers evenly.
- Bake for 5-6 minutes until bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Allow the chocolate to melt for a few minutes, then spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if desired.
- Refrigerate until set, then break into pieces.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
- Can substitute with various nuts or add a layer of toffee for different flavors.
