Ingredients

- 100g almond flour
- 100g powdered sugar
- 2 egg whites
- 100g granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- red food coloring
- 150g butter
- 200g white chocolate
- 50g mascarpone cheese
- 1 teaspoon milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Combine the almond flour and powdered sugar, then sift.
- Whip egg whites until frothy, gradually add granulated sugar, then beat until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in dry ingredients and food coloring.
- Pipe onto a lined baking sheet and let sit for 30 minutes.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Let cool completely.
- For filling, melt white chocolate, then mix in mascarpone and milk until smooth.
- Assemble the macarons with filling between two shells.
- Decorate with additional icing if desired.
Notes
- Let the macarons mature in the fridge for 24 hours for best flavor.
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
