Description

These soft and flavorful buns are filled with a mixture of scallions and sesame oil, making them a perfect accompaniment to any meal or a delicious snack on their own.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup scallions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add warm water and vegetable oil and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth, then let it rise for 1 hour.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and brush with sesame oil.
  5. Sprinkle chopped scallions and sesame seeds on top.
  6. Roll the dough tightly and cut into pieces.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and let rise again for 30 minutes.
  8. Steam the buns for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
