- 2 tablespoons matcha powder
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar for coating
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, matcha powder, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Once chilled, scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough and roll them in powdered sugar.
- Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until set and crinkly on top.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- For a stronger matcha flavor, increase the amount of matcha powder.
