Description

Deliciously soft and chewy, these matcha chocolate crinkle cookies are a delightful twist on a classic treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar for coating


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, matcha powder, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Once chilled, scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough and roll them in powdered sugar.
  8. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until set and crinkly on top.
  10. Let cool before serving.
