Description

Delicious and fluffy spaetzle dumplings, perfect as a side dish or base for various sauces.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 3/4 cup water


Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.
  2. Make a well in the center and add the egg and water.
  3. Mix until smooth and let rest for 10 minutes.
  4. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  5. Use a spaetzle maker or colander to drop small amounts of dough into the boiling water.
  6. Cook until the dumplings float to the surface, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain.
  8. Serve hot with your choice of sauce or garnish.
