- 1 large egg
- 3/4 cup water
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.
- Make a well in the center and add the egg and water.
- Mix until smooth and let rest for 10 minutes.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Use a spaetzle maker or colander to drop small amounts of dough into the boiling water.
- Cook until the dumplings float to the surface, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain.
- Serve hot with your choice of sauce or garnish.
