Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 cups diced apples
- 1/4 cup hot honey
- oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, and milk until smooth.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients, then fold in diced apples.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot.
- Drop batter by spoonfuls into hot oil and fry until golden brown.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Drizzle with hot honey before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add chopped walnuts or pecans to the dough.
