Description

A comforting and flavorful soup packed with spicy dumplings, perfect for a cozy meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 package dumpling wrappers
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon chili paste
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cups spinach


Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well.
  2. Take a dumpling wrapper and place a small spoonful of the pork mixture in the center.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water and fold to seal, forming a dumpling.
  4. Repeat until all the mixture is used.
  5. In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a simmer.
  6. Add the chili paste and rice vinegar, stirring well.
  7. Carefully add the dumplings to the simmering broth and cook for about 8 minutes or until they float.
  8. Add the sliced mushrooms and spinach, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!

  • This soup can be made ahead of time, just reheat before serving.
  • Adjust the level of spice by increasing or decreasing the chili paste.
