Description

A delicious stir-fry made with chopped roti, vegetables, and spices, embodying the flavors of Sri Lanka.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups chopped roti
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, bell peppers)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro


Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onion and green chilies; sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in the garlic and mixed vegetables; cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. Add the chopped roti to the pan and mix well.
  5. Sprinkle in the turmeric, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper; toss everything together.
  6. Cook for another 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the roti is heated through.
  7. Remove from heat, garnish with cilantro, and serve warm.

  • This dish can be customized with your choice of vegetables.
  • Feel free to add protein such as chicken or tofu for a heartier meal.
