- 2 ripe plantains
- 1 pound flank steak
- 1 cup beef tallow
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
Instructions
- Peel the plantains and slice them diagonally into thick pieces.
- Heat beef tallow in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season the flank steak with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Cook the steak in the skillet for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness.
- Remove the steak and let it rest before slicing.
- In the same skillet, add the plantain slices and fry until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove the plantains and drain on paper towels.
- Serve the sliced steak with the tallow-fried plantains on the side.
