Description

A flavorful Thai Style Crab Fried Rice recipe that combines fresh crab meat with jasmine rice and aromatic seasonings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice (cold, preferably day-old)
  • 1 cup lump crab meat (fresh or canned, drained)
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Lime wedges (for serving)
  • Fresh cilantro and sliced cucumber (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large wok or skillet, heat half the oil over medium heat. Add the beaten eggs and scramble until just set. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  2. Add the remaining oil to the pan. Sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  3. Stir in the cold cooked rice, breaking up any clumps. Add soy sauce, fish sauce, and white pepper. Mix well to combine.
  4. Gently fold in the crab meat and cooked eggs. Cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend without breaking up the crab too much.
  5. Stir in the green onions and cook for another minute.
  6. Plate the fried rice with lime wedges, fresh cilantro, and cucumber slices on the side.

Notes

  • Using day-old rice helps to achieve the best texture.
  • Feel free to adjust the amount of soy sauce and fish sauce to taste.
  • Garnish with additional herbs for extra flavor.
