Description
A delicious recipe for the best steak topped with a creamy garlic sauce, perfect for any meat lover.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ribeye, sirloin, or NY strip steaks
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the steaks dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- In a hot skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and butter. Sear the steaks for 3–5 minutes per side (depending on thickness and desired doneness). Remove and let rest while you make the sauce.
- In the same pan, reduce heat to medium. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir in Parmesan cheese. Add Dijon mustard if using. Let simmer for 3–5 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Return the steaks to the pan and spoon the sauce over them, or slice the steaks and drizzle the sauce on top. Garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
- For best results, use a meat thermometer to check the doneness of the steak.
- Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing to retain juices.
- Feel free to adjust the amount of garlic based on your preference.
