Description

A delicious pasta dish featuring cheesy meatballs and baked mostaccioli.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cups mostaccioli pasta
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook mostaccioli according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix ground beef, ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, parsley, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Form mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  5. In a large skillet, brown meatballs on all sides over medium heat.
  6. In a baking dish, combine cooked mostaccioli with marinara sauce.
  7. Place meatballs on top of mostaccioli and cover with remaining sauce.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until meatballs are cooked through and cheese is melted.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add crushed red pepper to the meatball mixture.
  • Let the dish cool before storing leftovers in the fridge.
