Ingredients

- 1 pound dried plums
- 1 pound mixed dried fruits
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup suet, grated
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup brandy
Instructions
- Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and brandy.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing well.
- Pour the mixture into a greased pudding basin.
- Cover with parchment paper and steam for 6 hours.
- Let it cool, then refrigerate until ready to serve.
- For the brandy butter sauce, beat together butter, powdered sugar, and brandy until smooth.
- Serve slices of pudding warm with brandy butter sauce.

- Serve with extra brandy on the side if desired.
