Description

A delicious dish featuring fresh trout topped with a flavorful chive butter.


Ingredients

  • 2 whole trout, cleaned
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix the softened butter, chopped chives, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Spread half of the chive butter mixture inside the cavity of each trout.
  4. Grill the trout for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Remove the trout from the grill and top with the remaining chive butter before serving.

Notes

  • For a citrusy twist, add some lemon zest to the butter mixture.
