Description

Delicious and comforting Ukrainian potato dumplings, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix mashed potatoes, flour, egg, and salt until a dough forms.
  2. Roll out the dough and cut into circles.
  3. Place a small amount of potato filling in the center of each circle.
  4. Fold the dough over and pinch to seal.
  5. Boil the dumplings in salted water until they float.
  6. In a skillet, sauté onions in butter until golden and serve over the dumplings.
