Ingredients

- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix mashed potatoes, flour, egg, and salt until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough and cut into circles.
- Place a small amount of potato filling in the center of each circle.
- Fold the dough over and pinch to seal.
- Boil the dumplings in salted water until they float.
- In a skillet, sauté onions in butter until golden and serve over the dumplings.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add cheese to the filling.
- These dumplings can be frozen for later use.
