- 2 pounds venison tenderloin
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add garlic, rosemary, and thyme to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Season the venison tenderloin with salt and pepper, then sear in the skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side.
- Pour the butter-herb mixture over the venison and transfer to the oven.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
