  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup vegetable broth
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and sauté until softened, about 3–4 minutes.
  2. Stir in garlic, smoked paprika, chili flakes, cumin, and oregano. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Pour in crushed tomatoes and vegetable broth. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add butter beans, stir well, and cook uncovered for 8–10 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm with lemon wedges on the side.
