- 2 ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Mash the ripe bananas in a bowl.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the melted butter and sugar together.
- Add the eggs and vanilla to the mixture and stir to combine.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the mashed bananas and chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into a greased 8×8 inch baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, allow the brownies to rest for a day before serving.
- Serve with ice cream for an extra special treat.
