Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Banoffee Condensed Milk Tart that combines the flavors of bananas, sweetened condensed milk, and whipped cream on a graham cracker crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 large bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well mixed. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch tart pan. Bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, bring the sweetened condensed milk to a gentle boil, stirring constantly. Continue to cook for about 5-7 minutes until it thickens slightly. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
  4. Pour the cooled condensed milk over the cooled crust, spreading it evenly. Layer the sliced bananas on top of the condensed milk.
  5. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over the bananas.
  6. Garnish with chocolate shavings or a dusting of cocoa powder. Chill the tart in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a nutty flavor, consider adding ½ cup of finely chopped nuts (like pecans or walnuts) to the crust mixture.
  • If you prefer a more intense chocolate flavor, drizzle melted chocolate over the whipped cream before serving.
