Description
A delicious and easy-to-make Banoffee Condensed Milk Tart that combines the flavors of bananas, sweetened condensed milk, and whipped cream on a graham cracker crust.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 large bananas, sliced
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well mixed. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch tart pan. Bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, bring the sweetened condensed milk to a gentle boil, stirring constantly. Continue to cook for about 5-7 minutes until it thickens slightly. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Pour the cooled condensed milk over the cooled crust, spreading it evenly. Layer the sliced bananas on top of the condensed milk.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over the bananas.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings or a dusting of cocoa powder. Chill the tart in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a nutty flavor, consider adding ½ cup of finely chopped nuts (like pecans or walnuts) to the crust mixture.
- If you prefer a more intense chocolate flavor, drizzle melted chocolate over the whipped cream before serving.
