- 2 pounds beef cheeks
- 4 cups bone broth
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a large oven-safe pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add onion and carrots, cooking until softened.
- Add garlic and sauté for another minute.
- Season beef cheeks with salt and pepper, then add them to the pot, browning on all sides.
- Pour in the bone broth and add the bay leaf.
- Bring to a simmer, then cover and transfer to the oven.
- Braise for 3-4 hours, or until the beef is tender.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add herbs like thyme or rosemary.
- Serve with crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce.
