Description

A rich and flavorful dish made with tender beef cheeks, slowly braised in a delicious bone broth and butter.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef cheeks
  • 4 cups bone broth
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a large oven-safe pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add onion and carrots, cooking until softened.
  3. Add garlic and sauté for another minute.
  4. Season beef cheeks with salt and pepper, then add them to the pot, browning on all sides.
  5. Pour in the bone broth and add the bay leaf.
  6. Bring to a simmer, then cover and transfer to the oven.
  7. Braise for 3-4 hours, or until the beef is tender.
  8. Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
