Description

Delicious and smoky beef deckle burnt ends, perfect for any barbecue lover.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 pounds beef deckle
  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce


Instructions

  1. Preheat the smoker to 225°F.
  2. Trim excess fat from the beef deckle.
  3. Mix together the salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over the beef deckle.
  5. Place the beef in the smoker and cook for about 3 hours.
  6. Wrap the beef in foil and continue cooking until tender, about 2 hours.
  7. Remove from foil, brush with BBQ sauce, and smoke for an additional hour.
  8. Let rest before cutting into burnt ends.
