Description

Delicious tacos made with beef tongue and carnivore-friendly shells.


Ingredients

  • 1 beef tongue
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 1 garlic bulb, halved
  • 12 corn tortillas
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges


Instructions

  1. Place beef tongue in a large pot and cover with water.
  2. Add salt, pepper, bay leaves, onion, and garlic.
  3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 2-3 hours, until tender.
  4. Remove tongue, let cool, and peel off skin.
  5. Shred the meat and mix with desired toppings.
  6. Warm tortillas and fill with shredded beef tongue.
  7. Serve with lime wedges.
