Deliciously crispy potato pancakes, also known as Draniki, are a traditional Belarusian dish that everyone will love.

- 4 cups grated potatoes
- 1 onion, grated
- 1 egg
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix grated potatoes, onion, egg, flour, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Drop a spoonful of the potato mixture into the hot oil, flattening it slightly.
- Fry until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
Notes
- Serve with sour cream or applesauce for added flavor.
- Use a food processor for quicker grating.
- You can also add herbs for extra flavor.
