Indulge in these rich and fudgy bittersweet brownies topped with a creamy salted peanut butter frosting!


Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter and stir in the sugar until combined.
  3. Remove from heat and mix in the eggs and vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and stir until just combined.
  6. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  7. Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. For the frosting, beat together the peanut butter, powdered sugar, milk, and sea salt until smooth.
  9. Spread the frosting over the cooled brownies and cut into squares.

Notes

  • Make sure the brownies are completely cool before adding the frosting.
  • For an extra touch, sprinkle some chopped peanuts on top of the frosting.
