Description

Deliciously rich and decadent Black Velvet Cheesecake Cookies with a soft texture and cream cheese filling.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  7. Drop tablespoonfuls of cookie dough onto a baking sheet, pressing a thumbprint in the center of each.
  8. Fill the thumbprint with a small amount of the cream cheese mixture.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until set.
  10. Let cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
