Description

A rich and savory dish combining bone marrow with the crunch of macadamia nuts to create a unique crumble.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 marrow bones
  • 1 cup macadamia nuts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the marrow bones in a baking dish and roast for 25-30 minutes, until the marrow is soft and begins to separate from the bone.
  3. While the bones are roasting, chop the macadamia nuts coarsely and lightly toast them in a pan over medium heat with olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper.
  4. Once the marrow is done, scoop it out and mix it with the toasted macadamia nuts and parsley.
  5. Serve warm as a topping for bread or on its own.

Notes

  • This dish is best served fresh out of the oven.
  • For a variation, you can add garlic or different herbs.
  • Make sure to use high-quality marrow bones for the best flavor.
