Description
A delightful treat, candied orange peel in syrup is perfect for snacking or using in desserts.
Ingredients

- 4 large oranges
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- Wash the oranges thoroughly.
- Peel the oranges, removing as much of the white pith as possible.
- Cut the peels into strips.
- Boil the peels in water for about 15 minutes, drain, and repeat twice more to reduce bitterness.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and 2 cups of water and bring to a boil.
- Add the orange peels to the syrup and simmer until the peels become translucent.
- Remove from heat and let cool in the syrup.
- Store in a jar with the syrup.

- For a citrusy flavor, use organic oranges without pesticides.
- Store in the refrigerator for longer shelf life.
