Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Catalan appetizer featuring fresh tomatoes and cured ham.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • 4 slices rustic bread
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 4 slices jamón serrano or prosciutto
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Salt to taste


Instructions

  1. Toast the slices of rustic bread until golden brown.
  2. Slice the garlic clove in half and rub the cut side on the toasted bread.
  3. Cut the tomatoes in half and grate them into a bowl, discarding the skin.
  4. Mix in olive oil and salt to the grated tomatoes.
  5. Spread the tomato mixture generously on each slice of bread.
  6. Top with slices of jamón serrano.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
