Ingredients

- 2 pounds flank steak
- 1 cup cooked chestnuts, chopped
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
- In a bowl, mix sautéed onion, garlic, chestnuts, breadcrumbs, parsley, egg, salt, and pepper.
- Place the flank steak on a flat surface and spread the chestnut mixture over it.
- Roll the steak tightly and secure with kitchen twine.
- Place the roll in a roasting pan and roast for about 1 hour or until desired doneness.
- Let the beef rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use seasoned breadcrumbs.
- Serve with a side of roasted vegetables.
