Description

A savory roast beef roll filled with a delectable chestnut stuffing, perfect for special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds flank steak
  • 1 cup cooked chestnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
  3. In a bowl, mix sautéed onion, garlic, chestnuts, breadcrumbs, parsley, egg, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place the flank steak on a flat surface and spread the chestnut mixture over it.
  5. Roll the steak tightly and secure with kitchen twine.
  6. Place the roll in a roasting pan and roast for about 1 hour or until desired doneness.
  7. Let the beef rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
