Description

A delicious roast beef roll filled with chestnuts and herbs, perfect for a holiday dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 beef roast
  • 200 grams chestnuts, cooked and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary, chopped
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onions and garlic until translucent.
  3. In a bowl, combine chestnuts, sautéed onions, garlic, thyme, rosemary, breadcrumbs, and beaten egg. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Lay the beef roast flat and spread the stuffing mixture evenly over the surface.
  5. Roll the beef tightly and secure with kitchen twine.
  6. Place the rolled roast in a roasting pan and bake for approximately 1.5 hours, or until desired doneness.
  7. Let rest before slicing and serving.
