Description

A savory casserole featuring ground beef, corn, and a creamy topping.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (15 ounces) corn, drained
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups cornmeal
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheese


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef until browned. Add onion and garlic, cooking until soft.
  3. Stir in corn, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix cornmeal and milk until smooth.
  5. In a greased baking dish, layer the beef mixture, then pour the cornmeal mixture on top.
  6. Sprinkle cheese over the casserole.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set and golden brown.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes
