A rich and indulgent dessert that combines layers of flaky baklava and creamy hazelnut chocolate.
Ingredients

- 1 package phyllo dough
- 1 cup melted butter
- 2 cups chopped hazelnuts
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
- 1 cup honey
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix hazelnuts, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Lay down a sheet of phyllo dough and brush with butter.
- Repeat with several layers, adding the nut mixture.
- Spread chocolate hazelnut spread, then layer more phyllo and nut mixture.
- Finish with more phyllo and cut into diamond shapes.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden.
- In a saucepan, combine honey, water, and vanilla; bring to a boil.
- Pour syrup over baklava while still hot.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Serve with a sprinkle of powdered sugar.
- Can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
