- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a round cake pan and arrange the cherries at the bottom.
- In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk, until well combined.
- Pour the batter over the cherries in the prepared pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before inverting onto a plate.
