This Chocolate Espresso Banana Bread combines rich chocolate, robust espresso, and ripe bananas for a decadent treat.

- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon espresso powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mix the melted butter with the mashed bananas.
- Add in the espresso powder, vanilla extract, and egg, and mix until combined.
- Stir in the brown sugar, baking soda, and salt until incorporated.
- Gently fold in the flour and cocoa powder until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- This bread is best served warm with a pat of butter.
