- 1 cup macadamia nuts
- 8 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
Instructions
- Chop the macadamia nuts and set aside.
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it begins to simmer.
- Add the chopped dark chocolate to the cream and stir until melted smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and the macadamia nuts.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator until firm, about 2 hours.
- Once firm, scoop out small portions and roll them into balls.
- Dust the truffles with unsweetened cocoa powder before serving.
Notes
- For a sweeter truffle, consider using milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate.
- Make sure the mixture is chilled thoroughly before rolling to prevent melting.
