Deliciously light and festive, these Christmas Tree Meringues are a delightful treat for the holidays!
Ingredients

- 3 large egg whites
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
- green food coloring (as needed)
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°F (93°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a clean bowl, whip the egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add the granulated sugar while continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in the vanilla and peppermint extracts.
- Add the green food coloring until desired shade is achieved.
- Transfer the mixture to a piping bag fitted with a star tip and pipe the meringue onto the prepared baking sheet in a tree shape.
- Sprinkle mini chocolate chips on top for decorations.
- Bake for 1.5 hours or until the meringues are dry and can easily lift off the parchment.
- Let cool completely before serving.
