Description

Delicious coconut-fried shrimp with a savory bacon dust for a unique flavor combination.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs.
  4. Coat shrimp in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg, and finally in the shredded coconut.
  5. Fry coated shrimp until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. For bacon dust, blend crumbled bacon and smoked paprika until finely ground.
  7. Sprinkle bacon dust over the fried shrimp and serve.

Notes

  • Ensure oil is hot enough to avoid soggy shrimp.
  • Adjust the amount of bacon dust to taste.
  • Serve immediately for best texture.
