Description

A delicious coffee-flavored banana bread topped with a rich espresso frosting.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons espresso coffee
  • 2 tablespoons milk


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas and mix in the melted butter.
  3. Stir in the baking soda and salt.
  4. Add the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  5. Gently fold in the flour and brewed coffee until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake for 60-65 minutes.
  7. While the bread cools, prepare the frosting by mixing powdered sugar, espresso, and milk until smooth.
  8. Once the bread has cooled, spread the espresso frosting on top.
