Description

A deliciously tart dessert featuring a buttery almond crust and sweet-tart cranberry filling.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar, for dusting


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until combined.
  6. Press about two-thirds of the dough into the bottom of a greased tart pan.
  7. Spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the crust.
  8. Roll out the remaining dough and cut into strips to form a lattice on top of the cranberry sauce.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until slightly golden.
  10. Let cool, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, chill the dough for 30 minutes before pressing into the tart pan.
  • Feel free to substitute the cranberry sauce with other fruit preserves if desired.
