A deliciously tart dessert featuring a buttery almond crust and sweet-tart cranberry filling.

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until combined.
- Press about two-thirds of the dough into the bottom of a greased tart pan.
- Spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the crust.
- Roll out the remaining dough and cut into strips to form a lattice on top of the cranberry sauce.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until slightly golden.
- Let cool, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- For best results, chill the dough for 30 minutes before pressing into the tart pan.
- Feel free to substitute the cranberry sauce with other fruit preserves if desired.
