Description

A delightful dessert featuring creamy cranberry mousse served in cup form.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sour cream


Instructions

  1. In a pot, combine the cranberries and sugar. Cook over medium heat until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens.
  2. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. In a small bowl, dissolve the gelatin in water.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  5. Fold the cranberry mixture and sour cream into the whipped cream.
  6. Stir in the gelatin mixture until well combined.
  7. Pour the mousse into cups and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  8. Serve chilled.

Notes

  • Make sure to chill the mousse for a firmer texture.
  • Can be topped with additional whipped cream or fresh cranberries.
